Leadership Vision
I want to contribute to a vision of humanity that embraces creativity, diversity and compassion. I will approach every interaction with a baseline of respect. I will allow room for grace and vulnerability to coexist, both within myself and within others. Throughout it all, I will stop and breathe, and remember that growth is rarely a linear path.
Project Description
Bloom is a community centered project that will work with local businesses to create youth mentoring and internship programs. During the project year, Bloom’s energies will be focused exclusively on one neighborhood in southeast Portland, facilitating outreach programs that encourage growing, local businesses to give back to their immediate community. The project seeks to create a collaborative definition of gentrification that reflects the varying effects it has on different sectors of the community, and aims to make the resources of urban growth more universally accessible.
