The project focuses on enabling BRAC to expand access to sanitary protection for teenage girls in Uganda. It is estimated that less than 10% of girls in Uganda have access to mainstream sanitary products, and girls skip school being unable to afford sanitary protection. This project aims to leverage BRAC’s extensive distribution network in Uganda to test affordability and acceptance of different low-cost sanitary protection options for girls, and innovate a sustainable distribution model.
