Project Description
Transfernation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded in 2013 in order to tackle the problem of food waste using technology. We partner with catering companies, grocery stores, restaurants, homeless shelters, and soup kitchens in New York City to create an online network of food donors and food takers. We aim to bridge an information gap by educating food donors as to who wants their extra food and how to get it to them.
