Leadership Vision
Leadership is a song, a cry, a chant, a sound of the soul that calls me into a deeper knowing and unknowing of myself, and towards soul-affirming present action. I envision being evermore available to hearing, creating, and cultivating that sound in myself and in the world around me.
Project Description
“What Happens When a Black Man Dies?” is a video project providing a richer, fuller understanding of the emotional and spiritual lives of Black men. The project seeks to interrogate our obsession with and response to the bodies of Black men, while our hearts and souls die in a dissonant silence. The project challenges us to awaken to the divine beings among and within us and deepen the narrative surrounding Black men and our humanity.
