Project Description

A Social Entrepreneurship model for Nata Sankirtana, a devotional ensemble ritual performance. I dream of creating a Manipuri social networking site (similar to, and perhaps integrated with, MySpace) that will promote use of traditional culture/music while generating revenue that will improve the livelihoods of Nata Sangkirtan practitioners. I am also organizing a set of workshops where older musicians can pass along our cultural heritage to the younger generation.
