All human beings are different yet also all beautiful. All have equal rights to respect, love and happiness.
Lawyers and jurists have the highest rates of depression, suicide attempts, alcohol, substance and drug abuses, of all professions in Canada. Law students on average enter law school with a better psychological health than the average population, and graduate with one that is worse than the average population, and unlike most professions, it continues to deteriorate during their legal careers. As a whole, the legal community is still struggling to provide satisfying access to justice systems to society. By creating a mindful generation of jurists, Healthy Legal Minds / Ju(ri)stes en santé aims at improving lives within the legal community, and at improving society by ripple effect on the justice systems.
