Effective leadership is simply the means to create a community of leaders who will lead towards a better world.
Project Description
The project envisages empowering women from homeless communities in Mumbai to become Community Change-makers. Before coming to TISS, Deeksha was a social worker and saw the gaps and flaws in how people worked homeless communities so my the project is focused on changing how that work is done. The project employs a participatory approach and through a series of consultations, workshops, and community building exercises, its goal is to organize homeless women and link them to larger urban movements that directly impact their lives (i.e. “right to pee campaign”).
